Saluhall Market in SF has been kind enough to reserve the “west wing” for our event on Sat June 07. Typically the venue requires a minimum spend of $2.5k in order to reserve this space for a group. Since we’re a nonprofit community organization they have graciously offered us a reduced rate for this event..
What this means is that the attendees of our group (of which we’re expecting 50-70) should collectively spend a minimum negotiated amount on food & drink with Saluhall vendors; any shortfall will need to be made up by our organization!
Your purchase of a “guest ticket” not only guarantees you a seat at one of our reserved tables, but also counts towards this “minimum spend,” allowing us to forecast total attendees and whether or not we’ll need to budget funds for use of the space.
When purchasing a gift card, you must use the same email address which you RSVP’d with so that we can identify & credit your order against the minimum spend and award you a raffle ticket, if eligible.
Remember, the full value of all gift card tickets can be used at Saluhall Market vendors for food & drink (with the exception of Momo Noodles).

Hi members! There have been some concerns regarding RSVPs & attendance at our events.
Unfortunately in the recent past we’ve had members who responded “YES” to the Meetup event RSVP not showing up; this leaves folks on the wait list (typically 8-10 more people on said list!) out in the cold 🙁
Due to limited space at the venue & the consistent waiting list, we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that those who want to attend our EGL game nights are able to do so.
To that end, effective Jan 2025 we have implemented the following attendance policy:
Members who RSVP but do not attend (no-show) will receive -1 point
Members who RSVP and do attend will receive +1 point
For example, if Johnny RSVPs for 3 meetups but only attends 1, they will receive (-1) + (-1) + (+1) = -1 point.
Members who reach -2 points will receive a warning, and those who reach -3 points may be banned from the group.
Please ensure you check in with the host upon arrival at future events, so that your attendance can be marked.
Hi folks – this is a gentle reminder – IF you are attending a Monday game night with EGL – to please ensure you RSVP for the event via the Meetup event page.
Further, if you have RSVP’d yes but find you can’t attend, please PLEASE change your response to a NO so that folks on the waitlist can attend.
Thankfully, game nights have become very popular (yay!), so much so that we’ve regularly got a full house. However, we are limited by the amount of table space available at the venue, hence the cap on attendees.
We’d love to see you around the table and don’t wish to turn anyone away … but in the interest of equity – if the venue is full on a given night and there’s limited seats – then please understand that we have to give precedence to guests who a) have a “yes” RSVP and b) are present within 15m of the event start time.
As ever, if you have any questions or concerns, contact us via our meetup page.
Hi, folks! A reminder that the EGL (euro-gaming league) gathers weekly to play euro & other types of board games at the Game Parlour, 6-11pm every Monday. If you haven’t come out in a while, we’d love to see you again!
Our group is always welcoming to new folks, whether experienced board gamers or not. No need to bring any games, nor spend a half hour reading rules … the Game Parlour has a library of 1000+ games and our members are always happy to recommend and teach a variety of games!
Remember that our focus is on building community while introducing folks to the modern breed of fun, engaging games (‘not your father’s Monopoly’), so we hope you’ll join us any given Monday for a night full of fun games & fab people =)

After a hiatus of nearly a year, we have found another venue, allowing us to again host weekly game night in San Francisco! We’re in talks with the Game Parlour (SF’s very first board game cafe!) about use of their space for our group’s meetups.
The Game Parlour is located in the Inner Sunset (near 15th/Irving)., and has offered to reserve table space for our group’s meetups.
There’s a full menu, a large game library and many tables. It’s a mere one block from the N Judah and EGL’s game nights will likely remain on Mondays 6-11pm (see below).
Please take a moment to answer some questions re: viability of this venue for EGL at http://bit.ly/eglreborn … your feedback is invaluable as we figure out next steps for our group.
International Tabletop Day 2017 is coming to SF on SAT May 06, 2017! (one week late, but better late than not!). Come out and experience the new, modern board games making waves around the world!
We will have a library of dozens of board games available and volunteers on hand to help you find the game(s) best suited to you, as well as teach how to play them.
Please RSVP at the MEETUP event page. Due to venue restrictions, ages 12+ please.
International Tabletop Day (ITTD) is a day to celebrate those who come to the table in contest or cooperation. We honor the communities that gather around the table, those who bring the winning spirit and sportsmanship to play with others. From the heaviest strategy game to the lightest party game, ITTD gives us a chance to celebrate those who bring their passions to the table.
And let’s not forget the places we play games, find our new passions, or simply connect with those who are looking to play together. ITTD lives within the walls of your friendly local game store and community events. It is here that communities and games find each other, where information is shared and passions flare to life.
You’ll find a universe to explore behind every door and beneath every box. International Tabletop Day looks to shine a light on stores and community events out there looking to bring everything that we love about the day together.
