About

San Francisco’s Euro Gaming League (EGL) is a meetup of fun, easygoing adults who get together to play tabletop board games & build community.

We’re always happy for new players to join, as we enjoy building a fun community for all different people. If you have never attended or even played “modern” board games before, there will more then likely be an experienced player around willing to teach you a game from our extensive game library!

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and religion. Please ensure you review our Code of Conduct to help us create safe and positive experiences for everyone!

Why Join Us?

  • FREE: There’s never any cost for our regular meetups.
  • SAFE: We have a strict code of conduct, and all meetups are held in public places (community centers, restaurants & stores).
  • FUN: Come with friends or alone, and volunteers will help you find great games to play.

We recommend you join our Meetup group (and Facebook page, if you like) to keep up to date on upcoming events.

What do we play?

The range of games you will find includes strategy, euro-style, card games, co-op games, social deduction and more!

Every meetup we host has a large selection of games available, and volunteers able to teach them and help you find a group to play with. Dozens of games are always available, and our members often bring their games from their own libraries to share.

Here’s a list of some games that are often played (there are many more, these are just some “go-to” favorites):

  • Lords of Waterdeep
  • Powergrid
  • Ticket To Ride
  • Coup
  • One Night Werewolf
